Ivan Nahem Best Tracks Part 2 (2005-2007) is actually an unreleased album of songs that were recorded with The Cucumbers — Jon Fried and Deena Shoshkes — and their two sons in the basement studio at their home in Jersey, joined by my late son Jesse on bass guitar, as well as my brother Andrew for one track — very much a family affair. It was great fun. I tried to just choose a few of them for this next section, but then, I don’t know, it seemed like in for a penny, in for a pound. Altogether it presents a fusion of disparate but friendly sensibilities and I think it stands up, it feels genuine and brings back a lot.
